I think we have two priorities .... beating Man City in the League Cup and finishing top of the Europa group.
I dont care if we finish mid table if it means we have a serious go at all 3 cups ... Europa, League Cup & FA Cup.
Playing at home on a Thursday with half a team & then again at home on a Sunday is no excuse. We dominated the second half and should have won and got sucker punched. Shit happens.
What we are missing to close out games like Man U & Brentford is Lingard and another striker.
That half hearted effort to do those when the likes of Wolves & Palace found strikers (even Brentford found someone who came on and scored the winner) is what will cost us.

People making too many excuses about Thurs etc. Players were rested.
4pts from 4 home games just ain't good enough. End of.The PL is the priority not the Europa League which I guarantee we will not win ffs.
We are just not as good as people think. Antonio is the only player prolific enough in front of goal. Needed a 2nd clinical striker and bought Vlasic instead who we don't need.
Why Soucek hasn't been rested is beyond me.
Moyes has to take blame for all of this. Useless cunt.

If we had the same strikers now we had in peligreenis 1st season we'd have won out the park yesterday . If any journalist wants to know why the fans are pissed off with the 2 bobs here's their answer arnoutovic Haller Hernandez Perez and Carroll have all been sold and not one has been replaced . Watching that Hwang Hee Chan play for Wolves vs Newcastle, he would of been the perfect cover for Antonio - only on loan from RB Leipzig and 25 years old. Fast, quick, physical and can finish. He’d suit us down to the ground
Cover?? After watching the way he linked up with Jiminez yesterday I'd say he'd start with Antonio... he was mightly impressive what I saw yesterday.. 2 brilliantly taken goals.

Agreed about the poor officiating and the undercurrent of gamesmanship from Brentford, cynical and systematic throughout their team like they’re playing to orders. A Palace mate said the same of them at their place.
That wasn’t why they had 3 good chances to score in the first few minutes though. Their goal wasn’t a shock either, the shock was the sloppy half hearted way we started the game.

The ref did have a word with the keeper after one lengthy goal kick.
He then took just as long for another 12 and nothing was done.
Took at least 30 secs over every throw but obviously knew nothing was happening so carried on.
As mentioned even felt bold enough when we were told to retake a throw to grab the ball and hurl it down the pitch.
A very very ordinary referee.
Still say Mike Reilly should be sacked and several refs from the Euros invited to take up these contracts ... understand they are on something like £65k basic which I am sure makes them the highest paid in the world.

They did start time wasting in the first half, every throw in and goal kick took at least 30 seconds and the ref did'nt have a word or anything. He also got sucked in by all the play acting after barely getting touched and not booking their centre half early on the list goes on.
I was very surprised and annoyed with the cynical way Brentford played the game, hopefully we get a better ref next time.
Declan needs to learn how too get in the refs ear, something that Noble is good at, he was too passive
and just let them carry on with their antics without having a word.

What have you seen to suggest Vlasic could play through the middle. Looks weak as fuck, see nothing in him as a front man.

only issue with that is
a) they cant be 'fluid' when theyre legs are fucked
b) with so many games this season it would be beneficial to have more than 4 players for those 3 positions
c) if Vlasic can play through the middle why havent we seen him there yet

If you haven't guessed by now Moyes likes to employ wide players who can play through the centre, as he has done with Antonio, Bowen, Arnautovic then you'll never understand Moyes philosophy.
He wants our front 3 to be fluid, and all 3 can play through the middle, which Vlasic can also do.

It may have gone unnoticed to all of you who discuss the use/lack of use of subs that Vlasic was all set to come on, stripped and ready, but was sat down again when Bowen scored.
I add no opinion on that. just making it known.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
We were creating chances and had them on the back foot, by finally playing the high tempo football passing and running at them football we have come to know, love and expect.
If substitutions had slowed that, even slightly Moyes would have been castigated. He tried to let that flow, we got sucker punched.
Also lets look at some of the options
Noble for Rice (We would have done our fucking collective nuts)
Yarmolenko for Antonio (See above)
Kral for Soucek is the only substitution we would have gone , ok can see this. He looks knackered.
